At what age…

…is one required to dress twins-ies with the spouse?

Annie and I are *almost* Irish twins:  we were born exactly one year and two weeks apart.  Perhaps is was our close age, perhaps it was the generation, or perhaps it was just my mother, but we dressed alike for years.  And years.  And years.  I continued the tradition as long as I could with my own girls.  Oddly, my daughters balked at donning matching outfits – eventually, they acquiesced only on Easter and Christmas, and then – poof! – it ended.  I cannot even now understand their resistance.  I don’t ever recall minding matching my sisters.

However, I have to say, that as adorable as I find my parents’ twin days (don’t they evoke a creamsicle?), …. I don’t look forward to the day my husband and I are sharing a closet.
